Michael Winkler is the Executive Director, Founder, and Head Coach of the Roswell Robo Squad Robotics Team. He leads the program with a passion for making robotics and STEM education accessible to students of all ages.

Roswell Robo Squad is a free K–12 robotics program where students learn robotics, coding, and engineering through hands-on projects. Michael oversees event planning, mentors students as they design, build, and program robots, and works closely with sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to keep the program running strong.

Michael is dedicated to helping students develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and confidence while discovering the excitement of STEM. His goal is to provide real-world robotics experience that inspires curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong interest in learning—all in a fun and supportive environment.

Thanks to the generous support of sponsors and community partners, Roswell Robo Squad remains completely free for all students. There are no participation fees or hidden costs. All monetary and in-kind donations go directly to supporting the students and the program, helping fund equipment and supplies such as VEX Robotics kits, which can cost approximately $5,000 per kit.
