Who can join Roswell Robo Squad Robotics?
Roswell Robo Squad is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Students are placed on teams based on grade level, and no prior experience is required.

Is there a cost to join?
No. The program is completely free, including robotics equipment, team shirts, and snacks. This is made possible through sponsors and community support.

Where and when do meetings take place?
All teams meet at Hope Family Church of God in Roswell.

Elementary (K–5):

Mondays, 4:15–6:45 PM

Tuesdays, 4:15–6:45 PM

Wednesdays, 4:15–6:45 PM

Middle School (6–8)Tuesdays, 4:15–6:45 PM

Thursdays, 4:15–6:45 PM

High School (9–12):Fridays, 4:15–6:45 PM

Saturdays, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM

Do parents need to stay during meetings?
Parents of elementary students must stay for the first meeting only. Parents of middle and high school students do not need to stay.

What robotics kits do students use?

Elementary: VEX GO and VEX IQ

Middle & High School: VEX V5 and BEST Robotics kits

Do students compete?
Yes. Elementary teams compete locally, while middle and high school teams participate in BEST Robotics competitions.

Are there outreach or special events?
Yes. Students participate in community outreach events, including demonstrations at local locations like the Roswell Public Library, as well as Fun Days focused on games and team-building.

Can students join at any time?
Yes. Students may join at any point during the year, though earlier participation is encouraged.

How are parents kept informed?
Families receive regular updates about meetings, competitions, fundraisers, and special events.

Are volunteers background checked?
Yes. All volunteers are background checked and trained. Student safety is our top priority.

How can families or community members support the team?
We welcome donations, sponsors, and volunteers to help keep the program free and accessible to all students.
